PeachCare for Kids is a State of Georgia benefit program that provides
comprehensive medical benefits to children under the age of 19 in
qualifying households. PeachCare will cost no more than $7.50 per child and
may cost less. It covers cost of a wide variety of medical, dental and
vision services. There are thousands of doctors who provide PeachCare
services in Georgia.
To qualify, a household must have income levels below certain pre-defined
amounts, based on the number of members of that household. For example, a
family of three with an income less than $35,000 could qualify.
Parents who have lost their jobs and the medical benefits provided by that
job have special provisions allowing coverage without the usual three month
waiting period.
